Training: Housing Forum – 2nd Annual

May 18, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

About the Program:

We are planning a full day of presentations focused on affordable housing, and how to sustain housing. The morning session will be a series of presentations that includes an explanation of the Continuum of Care, a broad overview of affordable housing and resources, a review of the services provided by the Housing Authority of Beaver Co. social workers, and a presentation on renting from private landlords. Also planned is a review of the DHS emergency funds program, and the PA Housing Search web site.

The afternoon session will consist of four breakout sessions: 1) Housing Authority review of application and eviction process; 2) overview of behavioral health housing supports and services; 3) dealing with utility delinquencies; and 4) housing for specialty populations.

Lunch will be provided between the morning and afternoon sessions to allow participants a chance to network.

During breaks/lunch, Resource Tables from county housing providers will be manned to pass out information and answer questions.
