ALLIANCE FOR TRANSPORTATION WORKING IN COMMUNITIES Meeting
January 6, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Please Join Us – working to ensure the region’s most vulnerable populations have reliable and affordable access to jobs and services.
FIRST UP: Program Policies and Regulations
At the September 30th meeting of The Alliance, it was decided that, out of the 5 transportation barriers identified in the regional Coordinated Transportation Plan, Program Policies and Regulations would be addressed first. So, over the past 3 months, an ad-hoc implementation team has been diligently focusing on two separate strategies:
1. Broker a conversation between regulators, providers, and consumers to reduce barriers caused by program policies and regulations.
2. Develop a regional voice to advocate for a common-sense approach to human services transportation (HST).
On January 6th, you’ll hear about not only the progress that’s been made to date, but also the many ways in which you can take an active role in this important collaborative effort.
To RSVP, contact Kathy Stefani, SPC’s ATWIC Program Manager, by no later than December 30th.
