Scleroderma Foundation
Options: Vision, Mission and/or Purpose of OrganizationThe Scleroderma Foundation is the leading non-profit supporter of scleroderma research in the United States, allotting an average of $1 million annually to find the cause of and cure for scleroderma. Since 1989, nearly $14.2 million in research funds has been allotted. To promote education of the disease, the foundation facilitates health and professional seminars, produces and distributes literature and conducts publicity campaigns. To help support the 300,000 people living with scleroderma, the foundation offers peer counseling, mutual support programs, and physician referrals.
Our Three-Fold Mission of Support, Education and Research
�Support: To help patients and their families cope with scleroderma through mutual support programs, peer counseling, physician referrals and educational information.
�Education: To promote public awareness and education through patient and health professional seminars, literature and publicity campaigns.
�Research: To stimulate and support research to improve treatment and ultimately find the cause of and cure for scleroderma and related diseases.
