A community-based organization depositing hope into the heart of the Aliquippa community through the administration of multiple social, educational, cultural, economic, spiritual and health programs. Its purpose is to restore our community to wholeness, enabling youth and adults to become productive contributors to our society.

History of Organization:

The Hope Christian Center was established in 1995 by Pastors Richard and Vera Shymoniak out of a desire to deposit hope in the community of Aliquippa and surrounding areas.
The Shymoniaks are greatly focused on the principles that the desire and hunger for change must come from within and the most effectual transformations start inside and work outward. Through the skillful use of these principles, they are providing spiritual and moral leadership and addressing the problems of the community.
The Hope Christian Center is unifying the community and through the programs offered, is filling in the racial breach by reaching the entire greater Aliquippa area. It is also bringing each age group together working as one. Through seminars and workshops in social, cultural, economics and health, the standard of living for many has been elevated.

Service Description

The Hope Christian Center is a Christian non-profit organization whose mission is to deposit hope into the heart of the community and surrounding areas, through the administration of educational, social, spiritual, economic and health programs, to enable youth and adults to become productive contributors to the community.
Areas of outreach to include The Hope Center Art Studio, The Theatre Arts Program, S.T.A.M Computer Lab, Youth Empowered to Succeed Program, Agape Outreach Program
