Options: Vision, Mission and/or Purpose of OrganizationHabitat for Humanity of Beaver County is a nonprofit organization that partners with people in the community to help them build safe and affordable homes. Their vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat Beaver County has helped homeowners acquire improved housing throughout Beaver County, and they have also built homes outside of the U.S. through their tithe to Habitat International. In addition, they serve their local communities and improve neighborhoods by rehabbing blighted houses or building on vacant lots.
Habitat Beaver County provides affordable mortgages to individuals and families who might not qualify for a conventional mortgage and who are in need of improved housing. They partner with their homeowners to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
History of Organization:Habitat for Humanity of Beaver County has been putting faith into action in the community since the spring of 1992. The affiliate was organized by the Men's Club of the Conway Presbyterian Church in Conway, PA, and has built 59 homes in Beaver County to date.

Funding SourcesHOME funds, private donations, and fundraisers. Habitat for Humanity of Beaver County also operates a ReStore thrift shop that sells building materials, appliances, furniture, housewares, and home decor items. The ReStore is open to the public, and all proceeds go back into the home building program.
