Head Start Instructor: $32,073, Full-Time, Full Benefits

Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in an equivalent major relating to Early Childhood Education. Prefer one-year classroom experience with preschool children. Provides instruction and guidance to preschool children in the Head Start classroom supporting other comprehensive services and preparing them for entrance into school-age programming.

Instructor Aides: $20,633 to $24,111, Full-Time, Full Benefits

Works with children ages three to five enrolled in the Head Start program to support their development in all areas (social, self-help, cognitive, fine/gross motor, language/literacy, math, science, social studies, the arts) in order to prepare them for transition to school age programming. High School Diploma or GED and willingness to enroll in a Child Development Credential program; $24,211, with an Associates/Bachelor’s Degree in ECE or other equivalent field of study. Prefer experience working with preschool children and willingness to help them grow and knowledge in school bus safety and food handling regulations.

Floating Aides: $11.64 Hour, Full-time, Full Benefits, Associates/Bachelor’s Degree; $11.06 Hour– CDA or ECE Certificate; $9.75-Hour HS Diploma/GED. Prefer a minimum of an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education [ECE]; Will also consider an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in another field; Will also consider a High School Diploma or GED, in which at time of hire individual must provide proof of enrollment in a Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) or Associate Degree program, preferably in Early Childhood. Completion of CDA program must be within two (2) years of hire; proof of ongoing enrollment must be provided each semester (minimum fall and spring). Prefer experience working with pre-school children and willingness to help pre-school children grow. Knowledge in school bus safety regulations and/or food handling/service regulations desired.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION (CDE) SUPERVISOR: $40,580, Full-Time, Full Benefits. Carries out functions of day to day supervision of both the center-based and the home-based options of Head Start and/or Early Head Start in accordance with Administration for Children and Families performance standards. In addition, oversee or support staff training and professional development and other special initiatives. Education, Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor’s Degree in related field with a certification in Early Childhood Education or Pa. Private Nursery/Kindergarten or Infant Toddler Certification. One (1) year experience as classroom/home based instructor with preschooler’s or infant/toddlers and/or pregnant women, preferably in Head Start with one (1) year of supervisory experience, or two years’ experience in supervision/management or case management. Knowledge of social service agencies in the County is desirable.

School Nurse: $34,380, Full-Time, Full Benefits. Works as an integral part of the Child Health & Safety Team to assure that Head Start Performance Standards are met in providing health care services to Head Start/Early Head Start children and their families. Current LPN certification or Registered Nurse RN, one (1) year of work experience in a health related field, preferably with children aged birth to five years. Experience working with pregnant moms a plus.
