The Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act

In December of 2012, what was known as Megan’s Law in Pennsylvania was changed to the Adam Walsh Act. This has significantly changed how Pennsylvania deals with sex offenders. This training will be an overview of the Adam Walsh Act and will cover the registration requirements for what are now three tiers of registration. It will discuss the different aspects of these tiers as well as the determination of sexually violent predators and the impact of this designation. Participants in this training will have a better understanding of the sex offender registration requirements and how to navigate the Megan’s Law website.
