B.F. Jones Memorial Library

Jones Memorial Library provides access to educational, informational, historical, recreational, and technological materials and services. The Library is committed to empowering our communities by helping residents improve their literacy skills, reach their greatest potential, and move forward to meet the demands of the 21st century.
History of Organization:The B. F. Jones Memorial Library was built in 1929 as a tribute to Benjamin Franklin Jones, a founder of the Jones & Laughlin Steel Corporation. The land and building were given to the City of Aliquippa by the Jones family. The Library is open 55 hours/week and offers traditional library services, as well as numerous on-line and electronic resources. The Children's Library is a leader in programming and materials for children in the Beaver Valley.
Options: Accreditations and LicensesThe Library is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Pennsylvania Inventory of Historic Places. It has been designated as a District Library Center by Pennsylvania's Office of Commonwealth Libraries.
